The Music

Here is my collection of my favorite Halloween songs. I have searched and searched and searched some more to put this collection together and this is what I listen to all October long. When I was looking for songs that fit my interpretation of a Halloween song, I was looking for songs that had that pseudo comical atmosphere. That's when I really started checking out a lot of Horror Punk and psychobilly and fell in love with what I heard. So I decided to take my metal mix and add some great punk & psychobilly songs to my Halloween soundtrack. A lot of people on other blogs and websites would quickly list bands like Black Sabbath, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Metallica, & countless death metal bands as bands with good Halloween songs. In my mind none of them ever wrote a good Halloween song. Songs about murder, Satan, death, etc do not make it a Halloween song (Black Sabbath may be the exception as they do have some eerie stuff, but I chose to leave them off the list for now). They need to have that eerie keyboard or spooky atmosphere. They need to "feel" like Halloween or at least be about Halloween or vampires, ghosts, Frankenstein, werewolves, etc.. So here is my list of (over)100 songs in metal and punk that to me "feel" like Halloween. Enjoy!
